Alligator Chain of Lakes

The Alligator Chain of Lakes is an 8,352-acre, 12-lake chain of lakes system in Osceola County, Florida. The 12-lake system comprises six lakes connected by navigable waterways; the other six lakes in the chain require a re-launch. The Alligator Chain of Lakes includes Lake Center from north to south at the north, and Lake Gentry is the southernmost lake on the Alligator Chain.

Alligator Lake

Big Lake Harris

Coon Lake

Coon Lake is a 150-acre lake located in Saint Cloud, Florida 34771. Coon Lake is one of the 12 lakes that make up the Alligator Chain of Lakes. Coon Lake is also known as “Lost Lake” and is the smallest of the chain of lakes.

Harris Chain of Lakes

The Harris Chain of Lakes is a 77,500-acre, 8-lake chain of lakes. The Harris Chain of Lakes spans portions of Astatula, Eustis, Howey-in-the-Hills, Leesburg, Mount Dora, Tavares, and Yalaha, in Lake County, Florida.

The 8 Lakes that make up the Harris Chain of Lakes are: (north to south)
Lake Griffin (9,428-acres), Big Lake Harris (15,321-acres), Little Lake Harris (3,718-acres), Lake Dora (4,502-acres), Lake Beauclair (1,134-acres), Lake Yale (4,044-acres), Lake Eustis (7,833-acres), and Lake Carlton (384-acres). While Lake Yale is technically part of the Harris Chain, although not connected by a navigable waterway to the other lakes. Located about 30 miles northwest of downtown Orlando, Florida, the Harris Chain of Lakes is in Lake County, Florida.
